The Cast

Electra: Electra was born in North Carolina where he graduated from the University of North Carolina in Theater and Acting in 1980. He then moved his career to New York City where he graduated with a master's degree in Theater and Costume Design with a minor in Acting and Performance. Electra decided after graduation that he was going to pursue the fine art of Female Impersonation with the magical talent of Celebrity Look-a-Likes. Career heights include opening up for Boy George for a major concert, performing for the 20th Anniversary of Stonewall as Judy Garland at an all star gala, performing as Bette Midler for Bette Midler at her birthday party, performing as Elton John for Elton John at Electra's good friend Gianni Versace's mansion. Electra has been thrilling audiences nationwide and in South Florida since the early 90's.

David Leddick (Harold Ramsey): David Leddick is the author of five novels, five photo books on the male nude, a biography of art figures of the 1930s and 1940s, and the non-fiction book "The Secret Lives of Married Men." His most recent work of fiction is "The Millionaire of Love." He is also a cabaret entertainer. Previously he has been a ballet dancer, a naval officer, a television director, and the world wide creative director for Revlon at Grey Advertising.

Janice Hamilton (Hester): Janice plays Hester in the soon to be released feature “Life's a Drag”. She can also be seen as Florence in the film “Boynton Beach Club” directed by Susan Seidelman, now available on DVD, and as Leonarda in the film “Lost Everything” (HuNu Productions). Television credits include Monique Riley on the internationally acclaimed series “Miami Sands”, Sally Burgess on CBS's “As the World Turns” and featured roles on “All My Children” and the Joan Rivers Show. Janice was also the Arts & Entertainment Host for WXEL's “South Florida Xtra”, the national travel program, “Citivision”, and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Kim Crow (Lurleen): Kim is a busy actress, director and voice over talent. She shares her happy life with America 's premier cat artist, husband Drew Strouble. The daughter of an atomic energy rocket engineer and a psychic social worker, Kim grew up believing that everything is possible. She is proud to be a lifelong professional actress, an 'athlete of the heart.'

Natalie McPherson (Mary): Natalie is so happy to be apart of "Life's a Drag". Natalie is 13 and some of her credits include Kid Vision (WPBS CHANNEL 2), Radio Disney (Annie), Macy's Day Parade (Camp Broadway), and Annie (Kate) at Actors Playhouse, Gypsy (Baby June), Music Man (Amarillyis) She also is a dancer at London Academy (Hip-hop/jazz/tap /ballet/modern). Natalie would like to thank her Friends and Family, her Manger Jeanette Hopkins and her Grandpa and Dad for always supporting her dreams.

Brandy Rose (Donna): Brandy is a proud member of Screen Actors' Guild. She has numerous commercials and films to her credit. She can be seen the award winning film “Hiding Victoria” starring Anita Gillette and Margo Harshman. Brandy also received a best supporting actress award for her portrayal of Blanche in Neil Simon's “Broadway Bound”.

Terry M. Cain (Max Reinhardt): Terry is a native Kentuckian who has made his home in South Florida for just over ten years. "Life's A Drag" is his film debut. He is a veteran of the stage, however, and that is what originally prompted his move south. Having been in numerous productions in the South Florida theatre scene (Actors' Playhouse, Royal Palm Dinner Theatre, Stage Door Theatre, Hollywood Playhouse, and Shores Theatre), much of his time is also devoted to his singing and songwriting. Most of his stage time as of late has been at Madame's Restaurant and Cabaret, where he has been an integral part of the operation since its conception.

Doug Williford (Brent): Dough can also be seen in the independent feature film “Lost Everything” to be released Fall 2007. Doug started filming his next feature film, “American Dream”, in August, 2007. Doug's work onstage has included the world premier of the highly acclaimed “Just A Kiss”, as well as South Florida productions of “Barefoot Boy with Shoes On”, “The Normal Heart”, “Streamers”, “Anything Goes”, “Blood Brothers”, “Rocky Horror”, and “Falsettos” to name a few. His work with Polly Bergen in “Company” in Concert received critical acclaim. He lives in Miami Beach with his partner Howell Tiller and his 2 dogs, Ginger and Ruby.

Kevin Dean-Hackett (Jason): Kevin has been acting, directing, designing and stage-managing in professional theatre, on TV and film for over 20 years. He most recently stage managed "Storyville" the Musical, in NYC at the Firehouse Theatre, production managed "The Great American Follies at the Parker Playhouse" in Ft. Lauderdale and was 1st AD on the Indie Film "Life's a Drag" shot on Miami Beach . Kevin's resume includes Production Stage Manager for tours, NCL cruise ship book musicals, and Equity Stage manager for Caesar's in Atlantic City with the musical "Tom Jones". He co-stared in the indie feature "Hiding Victoria" with veteran actress Anita Gillette. The film won best film this year in the San Fernando Valley International Film Festival and the Asheville Film Festival for best Narrative film in November 2006. He has appeared in over 50 commercials most recently as the CVS pharmacist.

Edison Farrow (Diaz X. Machina): Edison grew up in New York where he studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and H.B. Studios. In New York , he performed in theater including Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway & Way-The-Hell-Off-Broadway. He also appeared on several soap operas and TV commercials. In Miami , Edison has performed in Death Defying Acts at the Coconut Grove Playhouse, The Nature of the Beach at the Miami Shores Performing Arts Theater and It's a Fabulous Life at the Byron Carlyle Theater and the Broward Center . Edison Farrow is currently an event and club promoter and just produced Sandra Bernhard at the Colony Theater.

Neil D. Kolner (Karl Kohler, Esq.): Tracing his roots to Wisconsin high school and community musical theatre, this is Neil's film debut. Neil has lived in South Florida for nearly thirty years, received his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Florida International University , and Juris Doctor from the University of Miami . A Miami lawyer, he has litigated in Florida and federal courts including the Supreme Court of the United States . When not in court his avocation is cabaret singing .

James Cubby (Dennis): “Life's A Drag” put Cubby back in front of the cameras after a hiatus of more than a dozen years. Formerly an actor who appeared in numerous commercials, films and created the role of Kenneth Brett on “All My Children,” Cubby has recently been working as a photographer and writer with work appearing in Where Magazine, Public Magazine, LRM magazine , and MAP (Music, Art, & People).
